Who We Are
Our company was established in 2003 and has been responsible for providing outstanding chocolate creations in southern New Hampshire and eastern Massachusetts.
What We Offer
In addition to a rich palette of milk chocolate and dark chocolate creations, we offer a wide selection of seasonally-themed chocolate products.
Our specialties are:
- fine chocolate confectionery, including truffles, coconut clusters, toffee, caramel centers, chocolate covered cherries, blueberries, and strawberries, and hand-dipped apples
- unique party favors
- favors for weddings, engagement parties, and baby showers
- corporate gift ideas, holiday collections, private-label gourmet creations as well as special recognition and events favors
Our regular customers value the uniqueness of our chocolate creations and the freshness of our products. To preserve the freshness of our product, we ship nationwide via UPS.
Background
After operating as a home-based business, we made plans to acquire a historic building in downtown Peterborough for our expanded operations in late 2003.
At about that time, the Peterborough Transcript characterized Ava Marie's chocolate confections as "the best chocolates this side of the Atlantic".
That was a tremendous achievement for us as a young business startup and this honor carried us through to the opening of our retail location on Grove Street.
Then, in December of 2004, the Peterborough Transcript named Grove Village Shops "Peterborough's Business of the Year 2004," an honor that we have truly cherished.
